Class Preparation

For Teachers/Parents (WEEKLY LESSON LINKS) AND RESOURCES (BELOW)

01

CHECKLISTS

Assignments

Basic assignment routines are repeated each week for each age-group. By repeating these procedures every lesson, homework stress is minimal for both student and instructor.

Each class will introduce new material. Students should read one lesson per week, complete one worksheet, and work on one LIFE project or experiment per week.

Parents can review the science material with all their students at the same time, preferably during family devotion time. Apologetics combine the science lesson with the devotion.

02

DEVOTIONS

Family Foundations

Devotions/Apologetics explore the unique ways science and God’s handiwork overlap. Science is the discovery of knowledge about the natural world that God designed for His children. Apologetics begin at the intersection between human reasoning, scriptural guidance, and faith. By tying these foundational life skills together, a cord of three strands is woven into a much stronger edifice – one that can withstand the trials and culture attacks.

03

PROJECTS/EXPERIMENTS

Projects

PROJECTS spark student interest, but more importantly, projects teach life skills while reinforcing what the student learns. Most projects will be useful for everyday life, providing families with interactive, engaging ways to further and deepen your student’s understanding and reasoning. These hands-on activities are tailored to fit each grade level yet often use the same project materials or objects.

Experiments (optional)

EXPERIMENTS challenge students to master both science and math skills. Math is incorporated into each experiment, in the form of problems, experimental tasks, measures, abstract/symbolic reasoning, and logic. Mastery with the multi-level EXPERIMENT Options help to tie younger and older student learning together with the same experiment laying the groundwork for the final level, college prep. (Answers are provided for all math problems.)

WORKSHEETS

Answers

Worksheets are designed to review class/learning and reading concepts. These include fundamental ideas and frameworks the students will build upon for future learning.

Students can correct their own Worksheets with parent/teacher assistance. These ANSWERS help students review some of the more challenging aspects of their learning and provide opportunities for one-on-support.
